An exciting 9-day bike experience, approximately 700km and 12,000m. of altitude difference in semi-self-supported mode which will take you through wild west landscapes to discover Andalusia and the rare beauty of the Gorafe - Badlands - Tabernas natural scenery, under the guidance of expert Tour Leaders and riding Cinelli Hobootleg Geo gravel bikes specially set up and equipped, supplied by us.
Wild bike west is a unique experience, an extraordinary adventure in the landscapes of the wildest Spain, a journey to uncontaminated places with a wild soul that will make you experience intense and unforgettable emotions in a spectacular and fascinating context. The number of participants is limited. the possibility of using professional bikes specially set up and equipped offers many advantages: no need to have your own suitable equipment, no need to dismantle/reassemble your equipment for air travel, possibility of using and therefore testing professional bikes prepared specifically for the routes that will be faced, no consequences due to the wear caused by this intense type of use of the bikes for many km on dirt roads (frame, tyres...) on your equipment.
Travel
The journey starts from Granada and follows a circular route that is at times challenging which crosses the Gorafe and Tabernas desert and develops within various natural parks (Huétor Sierra Natural Park, Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Natural Park of Alhamilla, Sierra Nevada Natural Park) among mountains, volcanic rocks, forests, gorges, beaches and inlets in a continuous succession of colors and spectacular places.
Leaving Granada, you immediately cross the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park to reach the only true European desert, the Gorafe area, with its splendid Badlands, natural gullies with incredible colours. The journey then continues reaching, in a continuous and suggestive sequence, Lake Negratin and the Sierra de Baza mountains, on the coast of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.
Across plains of olive trees and along an old pirate road overlooking the sea you return to the Andalusian hinterland and then reach the wild far west scenarios of the Tabernas desert and Fort Bravo, the theme park home to the film sets of the films by Sergio Leone; and finally through the Sierra Nevada Natural Park you travel the last kilometers that lead back to Granada.
A tracker connected to the Tour Leader's bike will allow family and friends to follow the journey in real time from home via a link.
